Dear Mother.   V. many thanks for sending my clothes along- & for your letter- The cable was from Dick & Ted – & I suppose has been following me about some time.

I’m awfully pleased to hear Jane found some rooms at last- I wonder how her show is getting on- I wrote to her the other day & ordered 2 Boxes – but I have’nt got them yet-

We are still fairly busy up here – and now it’s started to rain every day – which makes it rotten – I went onboard my old ship the other day – everyone has gone away except one fellow left in command-

I heard from Ben yesterday – she seems highly pleased with her new Bank job-

Nothing more has happened about my earache – can’t think what it could have been-
